The Orange Club
Membership in The Smugglers Union Orange Club entitles you to three bottles of our finest wines in each of four easy shipments – Spring, Summer, Fall, and Holiday – as well as priority access to limited-production wines and exclusive benefits, including one free tasting or wine flight each month for you and a friend.
The Madison Club
Membership in The Smugglers Union Madison Club entitles you to six bottles of our finest wines in each of four easy shipments – Spring, Summer, Fall, and Holiday – as well as priority access to limited-production wines and exclusive benefits, including two free tastings or wine flights each month for you and a friend.
The Green’s Bluff Club
Membership in The Smugglers Union Green’s Bluff Club entitles you to 1 case (twelve bottles) of our finest wines in each of four easy shipments – Spring, Summer, Fall, and Holiday – as well as priority access to limited-production wines and exclusive benefits, including two free tastings or wine flights each month for you and a friend and reserved seating at special events.

Membership Terms & Conditions
Welcome and thank you for becoming part of The Smugglers Union! To help you make the most of your membership, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following policies, terms and conditions.
The Smugglers Union
Free State Cellars offers wine clubs at three tiers: 3-bottle, 6-bottle and 12-bottle. There is no fee to join The Smugglers Union Wine Club and you may sign up anytime online, via phone or by visiting the tasting room. As a member you agree to all terms and conditions of membership.
All Smugglers Union Members and the person signing for your wine shipment must be at least 21 years of age.
Automatic Renewal Disclosure
The Smugglers Union is a recurring subscription of four wine shipments per year. Upon signing up for The Smugglers Union, your membership will continue until cancellation. By clicking “Join Now” on our website’s wine club sign-up forms, you authorize Free State Cellars to charge your credit card for recurring club shipments quarterly until you cancel your club membership.
The Smugglers Union consists of four wine shipments per year; spring, summer, fall, and holiday. Club members will receive an email notification at least one week prior to the billing date. We ask that you verify your billing and shipping details upon receiving this notification email. Please add [email protected] to your address book to avoid the email getting lost in your junk mail folder. Changes to your billing information and/or shipping address after your shipment is processed may incur a change fee or additional shipping charges.
Your membership discount is granted upon sign up and first club fulfillment according to the level of membership. Wine club shipments and subsequent wine purchases reflect your member discount as long as your quarterly fulfillment was successful.
Shipping
Extra charges incurred for redirected or returned wine shipments are the responsibility of the customer and charges will be applied to your credit card on file. UPS makes three delivery attempts before returning orders to Free State Cellars. It is your obligation to notify us of any billing or shipping changes prior to the next shipping month or any earlier deadlines specified in the advance email notification prior to the club release. Extra shipping charges incurred due to an incorrect address, delivery interception, and shipments returned to the winery will be charged to your account.
Cancellation
There is no minimum time commitment to membership, and you may cancel your membership at any time. Membership continues on a per-shipment basis until we are otherwise notified. You may make any changes to your membership or cancel at any time online or by contacting [email protected]. Changes or cancellations made after club processing may be subject to extra charges.
Skipped Shipments
The Smugglers Union Members have the option to skip a shipment by clicking the “Skip” button in your Smugglers Union account during a wine club release period. Members may skip up to two consecutive shipments, however discounts and perks only apply with completed quarterly fulfillment. After two skipped shipments, we ask that members take the following shipment to remain a Smugglers Union Member. Skipping a third shipment would change your status to Inactive to allow us space to accommodate those on our Wine Club Waiting List.
Pick Up Policy
We understand that circumstances arise that may delay pickup of your quarterly wine shipment. If, however, you are unable to pick up more than two consecutive shipments, please call to make arrangements, otherwise as we have limited storage space, the shipments will be restocked. Your selections may no longer be available when/if you do come to pick up.
Tastings
Please note that membership benefits of tastings and flights do not accumulate – they expire at the end of each month.
