Golden Riesling
Similar to Chenin Blanc, Golden Riesling starts with intense aromas that rise from the glass. This dry white wine offers pear, apples and apricots with notes of grapefruit. You’ll smell jasmine, or lime peel, along with a striking aroma of honeycomb and beeswax. Many will tell you that they can taste the land, the terroir, in this variety - like wet rock. On the palate, Golden Riesling has high acidity, similar to the levels in lemonade.
Because of the acidity, it pairs with fried and salty foods. It also pairs with spicy foods because of its subtle sweetness. A delicious match on all accounts.
