Privateer

Our Privateer blend of Malbec with high percentages of Syrah and Cab Franc is rich, powerful, and full-bodied.  Malbec's rich, dark fruit flavors and smooth chocolatey finish evens out the fruit-forward acidic bite of blueberry and smokey peppercorns in Syrah.  Cab Franc introduces complexity with the aromas of raspberry, bramble, and spicy cayenne notes.

Try traditional food pairings for Syrah in dishes that can match the smokey, peppery complexion of this bold red wine. Look for foods that are heavy on marinades, herbs and seasonings, such as lamb with mint, BBQ ribs or stew, focusing on flavors that linger in the mouth.
